System Loc Back Brace For Lower Back Pain Relief provides intra-abdominal muscle compression and provides a lift to hold the weight of the abdominal area. By lifting and holding the weight, pressure is relieved from lumbar discs, reducing the associated pain. The posterior and anterior panels work together to give opposing support to stabilize the lumbar region. The result is a supported and pressure-free lumbar spine held in a healthy, correct posture. Can be worn with complete comfort at all times for constant abdominal support as well as protection for the healing back. Lightweight design features a rigid posterior, rigid anterior, and a soft corset anterior option.
Degenerative Disc Disease, Herniated Disc, Radieulopath, Sciatica, Lumbar Disc, Spondyloisthesis, Spondylosis, Facet Syndrome, Chronic Strain, Acute Strain and Lumbar Instability. Lumbosacral Instability refers to weakness of the lumbosacral spine due to congenital disorders, metabolic disorders, inflammatory disorders or degenerative disorders. All these conditions can cause lower back pain and associated symptoms.
During the initial critical pain phase (first 10 to 14 days) the V-Loc (rigid anterior) should be used as often as patient can tolerate. After three days, the patient should have tolerance for complete usage. It is strongly suggested that during this phase the patient spend one hour a day in a supine position while wearing the brace to provide pain relief and therapeutic treatment.
During the secondary phase (14 days to 12 weeks) the pain will have subsided and the patient can become more mobile. The Sof-Loc (semi-rigid anterior) can be worn with complete comfort at all times -- while working, exercising, driving, participating in recreational activities (e.g. golf, tennis, etc.) and during rehabilitation programs.
Due to our patented closure system, the Sof-Loc will provide constant abdominal support as well as protection of the healing back. It is also suggested that during this period the patient wear the rigid anterior as many evenings as possible (at least three) as tightly as possible while lying down. Then they should pull their knees to their chest (the Valsalva Maneuver) and hold for 3-5 minutes. Upon releasing this position, they should apply heat or cold therapy immediately to prevent spasms. This will be a very therapeutic routing.
