Who can receive diabetic supplies?
  • If you have diabetes and are on Medicare or a private insurance plan, you may be eligible for our service. It does not matter if you take insulin or not.
What benefits does Medicare provide to people with diabetes?
  • Medicare typically covers 80% of the cost of your diabetes testing supplies, after any deductibles have been met. Medicare's deductible is currently $124.
  • If you have a supplemental insurance plan, it may pay the deductible and the remaining 20% not covered by Medicare.

Why is it important for me to get my supplies from a "Medicare participating provider"?
  • If a supplier of diabetic supplies does not accept assignment, there is no limit to what you can be charged.
  • You may have to pay the entire bill (your share and Medicare's share) at the time you get your diabetes testing supplies.
  • If the supplier is not enrolled in Medicare, Medicare will not pay your claim.
Note: Ask if the supplier is a participating supplier in the Medicare program before you get your diabetes testing supplies. If the supplier is a participating supplier, they must accept assignment. If the supplier is enrolled in Medicare but is not "participating," they have the option to accept assignment. PMT Medical is a Medicare participating provider. What are Medicare's requirements for covering diabetes testing supplies?
  • Medicare requires you or your caregiver to authorize a refill of your diabetes testing supplies before delivery to you. You should not pay for supplies you did not authorize.
  • All Medicare-enrolled suppliers (i.e., PMT Medical) must submit claims for diabetic testing supplies. You cannot send in the claim yourself.
  • An order (prescription) must be on file with the supplier.  It must be signed and dated by the treating doctor.  Please refer to below - for this form (CMN form)
How much does Medicare reimburse PMT Medical for each product?
  • Medicare will reimburse DiabeticSupplies.com 80% of the Medicare Allowed Amount, after the patient or their supplemental plan has paid the Medicare Part B deductible.

  • It takes approximately 7-10 days to receive your first order.
